COVID-19 Office Protocols

In an effort to ensure the health and safety of our patients, we are taking the following precautions:
SCREENING ALL EMPLOYEES
All OFMC Employees are being screened and temperature checked upon arrival every day and anytime they re-enter any of our offices. If an employee is exhibiting any symptom(s) of the Coronavirus, they will not be permitted into the building.
OFFICE CLEANING PROTOCOLS
All areas are being wiped down and sanitized continuously throughout the day, chairs in all areas have been spaced out according to the recommended guidelines and we have instituted more robust infectious disease protocols in all patient areas.
PATIENT SCREENING & OPTION TO WAIT IN YOUR CAR
Upon arriving at the office, all patients will be screened outside the office and have their temperature checked. We are offering patients the option to wait in your vehicle until it is time for your appointment. You will be called when your Provider is ready to see you.
MANDATORY MASKING POLICY
To maintain the highest level of safety for our patients and staff we are requiring all patients to wear a mask while in any of our offices. Masks must be worn properly for the entire duration of your time in our facility. Neck Gaiters are not sufficient masks.
12/4/20 - Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases, we are now requiring ALL children, no matter their age, to wear a face mask for the duration of their time in our offices. If your child is unable to wear a mask (i.e. an infant) or will not wear a mask correctly, they will not be allowed into the office. Our goal is to always provide the safest environment possible for our patients and staff. Thank you for your cooperation with this matter and for your patience as we continue to navigate through this time.
If you have been tested for COVID-19 and are coming into the office for an appointment, please bring your test results with you.
We need to have the results prior to you being seen by your Provider.

WE CURRENTLY PROVIDE THE ANTIBODY TESTING ON-SITE.
THE PCR (SWAB) TESTING CAN CURRENTLY ONLY BE PERFORMED AT CERTAIN DESIGNATED FACILITIES.

Headache, Dry Cough, Shortness of Breath, Muscle/Body Aches, Fever/Chills, Fatigue, Sore Throat,
New Loss of Taste/Smell, Congestion, Runny Nose, Nausea, Diarrhea

Ocala Family Medical Center is taking precautionary measures to keep our patients and staff safe and healthy. If you feel as if you are exhibiting the CDC listed symptoms related to the Coronavirus (i.e. FEVER, SHORTNESS OF BREATH, COUGH), please call the office at 352-237-4133 and you will be directed to speak with a triage nurse so that we may discuss your care.
OFMC has the appropriate safety apparel to safely provide care to our patients for standard medically related visits and concerns. In addition, we have instituted more robust infectious disease protocols in all patient areas.
