What are the side effects?

Most patients report minimal side effects, if any. The most common reported are slight redness and mild swelling. These usually subside a few hours after the treatment.

 

Is the treatment painful?

In most cases, patients describe the treatment as a mild warming on the surface of their skin, on the treated area. Some patients report a slight stinging which usually depends on the skin type.

 

Prior to Treatment:

Do not take blood thinners, such as Aspirin prior to your scheduled appointment. Also, you need to avoid any sun exposure prior to your treatment.

 

Following the Treatment:

In the case that you experience swelling, you can use ice packs or other cold compresses to help alleviate any discomfort. You also need to avoid sun exposure for 48 hours after the treatment.
