Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

  • Busy multi-specialty practice looking for an individual with a passion for helping others to join our team. Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience preferred. Candidate should be an effective communicator with strong multi-tasking skills. Bilingual a plus. Full-time, immediate hire.

Phlebotomist

  • Responsible for venipuncture draws to collect blood samples as well as corresponding computer work. Experience is preferred – 
    Full-Time position.

Mid-Level Provider (APRN or PA)

  • APRN or PA is responsible for providing comprehensive, evidence-based primary care services to patients across the lifespan in collaboration with supervising physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. The ARNP or PA delivers high-quality, patient-centered care through health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions while supporting Ocala Family Medical Center's Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model.

  • Practices within the scope of Florida law, organizational policies, and the applicable collaborative practice agreement.

Clinical Care:

  • Obtain comprehensive medical, surgical, family, and social histories.

  • Perform age-appropriate physical examinations and health assessments.

  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses within the ARNP scope of practice.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based clinical guidelines.

  • Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions in accordance with Florida law and organizational policy.

  • Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory studies, diagnostic testing, and imaging.

  • Provide preventive healthcare services including wellness examinations, immunizations, and health screenings.

  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.

  • Initiate referrals to specialists and community resources as clinically appropriate.

  • Coordinate continuity of care with physicians, specialists, hospitals, and ancillary healthcare providers.

Care Coordination & Population Health:

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, care coordinators, and other clinical staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.

  • Participate in care management activities for patients with chronic or complex medical conditions.

  • Identify patients requiring preventive screenings and chronic disease monitoring.

  • Assist in reducing gaps in care using quality reports and population health analytics.

  • Support Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives and quality improvement programs.

  • Promote patient engagement through utilization of the patient portal and follow-up communication.

Documentation & Electronic Health Records:

  • Document patient encounters accurately, completely, and timely within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

  • Maintain current and accurate problem lists, medication lists, allergies, and care plans.

  • Enter orders for laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, medications, referrals, and procedures.

  • Review, interpret, and electronically sign laboratory, imaging, and consultation reports in a timely manner.

  • Monitor outstanding orders and diagnostic results to ensure appropriate follow-up and continuity of care.

  • Ensure documentation supports medical necessity, quality reporting requirements, and accurate coding.

Quality & Compliance:

  • Practice in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.

  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, provider meetings, and continuing education.

  • Maintain required professional licensure, certifications, and credentialing.

  • Participate in peer review and clinical protocol development as requested.

  • Assist with implementation and review of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.

Leadership & Team Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with physicians and clinical leadership to improve patient outcomes.

  • Assist in mentoring and educating clinical staff when appropriate.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and interdisciplinary team members.

  • Participate in organizational committees, meetings, and training as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

  • Current Florida APRN or PA license in good standing.

  • National certification appropriate to specialty.

  • Current DEA registration and Florida controlled substance prescribing authority (if applicable).

  • Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred).

  • Minimum of two (2) years of primary care experience preferred.

  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge of primary care and evidence-based clinical practice.

  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.

  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple patients and competing priorities.

  • Knowledge of quality measures, preventive care guidelines, and chronic disease management.

  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.

  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

 

Neurologist

  • Our thriving Neurology Department is seeking a passionate and skilled Neurologist to join our team and meet the growing demand for care in Ocala and surrounding areas.

  • Job Summary:

    • Provide clinical Neurology care to patients in accordance with regulations.

    • Communicate effectively with physicians and medical staff to coordinate care.

    • Uphold excellent bedside manners and have ability to create a great patient experience.

    • Ability to explain plan of care to patients and their families.

    • The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas, as they are a focus for the care of our patients: Movement Disorders, Alzheimer’s/Dementia, and Sleep Medicine.

  • What We’re Looking For:

    • Qualifications: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurologist.

    • Licensure: Current Florida medical license or willingness to obtain one.
