Dr. Varatharajah is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who brings a holistic, patient-centered approach to healthcare. Deeply passionate about both patient care and medical education, she has spent the last six years practicing in Ocala, Florida, where she has successfully balanced providing exceptional care to patients while mentoring the next generation of physicians. In her role as Core Faculty for UCF/HCA Graduate Medical Education Internal Medicine Residency Program, she works closely with Internal Medicine resident physicians, providing clinical training, guidance, and support throughout their residency experience.Dr.Varatharajah earned her medical degree from the University of Jaffna in Srilanka, followed by comprehensive residency training in New Jersey. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). Prior to relocating to Ocala during the COVID -19 pandemic to be closer to family, she built a diverse clinical foundation working across both hospital inpatient, and outpatient settings in Ohio.Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Varatharajah is committed to advancing global health initiatives and regularly participates in medical mission trips, providing essential healthcare services and clinical education in underserved countries.Outside of medicine, she is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys biking, hiking, and taking long, aimless walks along the beautiful Florida beaches.
